Anhui EVPS Leads the Industry with China’s New GB 47372-2026 Certification
New National Standard: GB 47372-2026 Certification
On August 4, 2026, Anhui EVPS Power Battery Co., Ltd. successfully passed the CQC certification audit for the new national standard GB 47372-2026 for mobile power supplies. On August 10, EVPS officially obtained its China Compulsory Certification (CCC) certificate, becoming the first cylindrical battery manufacturer in China to receive this certification and one of the recognized suppliers of high-quality battery cells for the mobile power industry.
The certified cell features a nominal voltage of 3.20 V and a capacity of 5.0 Ah. From the initial design stage, the cell was developed to meet the comprehensive requirements of mobile power applications in terms of safety, cycle life, and energy density. Test results demonstrate excellent cycling performance, with more than 1,500 cycles at 0.5C/1C, together with outstanding low-temperature and high-rate performance. These capabilities highlight the cell’s core advantages of high safety, high energy density, and long cycle life.
Achieving this certification demonstrates EVPS’s technical capability to meet the stringent safety requirements of the new national standard. It also provides mobile power manufacturers with a reliable, independently verified, and stable cell supply solution for product development and sourcing.

The New National Standard Raises the Bar for Mobile Power Safety
On April 3, 2026, China officially released the mandatory national standard Safety Technical Specification for Mobile Power Supplies (GB 47372-2026), which will become fully mandatory on April 1, 2027.
As China’s mobile power industry enters the era of the new national standard, GB 47372-2026 establishes the country’s first mandatory safety specification specifically designed for mobile power supplies, including consumer power banks and portable outdoor power stations. The standard was formulated under the organization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) together with relevant authorities, marking a significant step forward in the standardization and safety management of the mobile power industry.
As one of the world’s largest producers and consumers of mobile power products, China has faced challenges including uneven product quality, insufficient manufacturing processes, and varying levels of quality management among some manufacturers. Building upon the existing mandatory standards GB 31241 and GB 4943.1, GB 47372-2026 further strengthens mobile power safety across five key areas:
-
Enhanced Intrinsic Battery Safety:
Introduces a new nail penetration test and adopts more stringent crush test requirements, replacing flat-plate crushing with rod crushing and increasing the maximum pressure from 13 kN to 20 kN, further improving safety under high-temperature, overcharge, crushing, and other abuse conditions. -
Lithium Plating Detection After Cycle Aging:
Requires battery cells to be disassembled and inspected after 300 charge-discharge cycles to determine whether lithium dendrites have penetrated the separator, helping reduce the risk of internal short circuits during long-term use. -
Intelligent Battery Management Requirements:
Requires real-time monitoring of key parameters such as battery voltage and temperature, as well as the storage and retrieval of abnormal event information, enhancing product safety and consumer transparency. -
Unique Product Identification and Traceability:
Each mobile power supply must carry a unique identification code, enabling consumers to trace key product information, including battery brand and other relevant details. -
Full-Process Manufacturing Control:
Establishes specific requirements for four critical battery materials—cathode, anode, separator, and electrolyte—and sets stricter controls on key parameters such as magnetic foreign matter, moisture, and free acid throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products.
The release of the new national standard has been widely regarded as a major quality and safety test for the mobile power industry. Only companies with strong technical capabilities and robust quality control systems will be well positioned to meet the new requirements and thrive in the evolving market.
Technology and Quality Built on Years of Battery Expertise
EVPS’s early achievement in passing the new national standard’s safety and technical assessment is the result of years of dedicated investment and technological development in lithium-ion battery manufacturing.
With extensive expertise in cylindrical lithium-ion battery technology, EVPS has established strong capabilities in product development, manufacturing, quality management, and safety assurance. These capabilities provide a solid foundation for delivering high-performance and highly reliable battery cells for demanding applications.
The successful completion of the new national standard assessment further validates EVPS’s technical expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and commitment to product safety and quality.
Entering the New National Standard Era: Advancing Toward a Higher-Quality Future
The implementation of GB 47372-2026 is expected to significantly reshape the mobile power industry. Requirements such as lithium plating detection after 300 charge-discharge cycles, battery nail penetration testing, mandatory labeling of recommended safe service life, and unique product identification and traceability bring a new time dimension to battery safety.
The standard focuses not only on safety when products leave the factory, but also on whether they can continue to operate safely after extended periods of use.
For battery cell manufacturers, these requirements represent a significant increase in the market entry threshold. For EVPS, however, they provide an opportunity to demonstrate its technical capabilities and manufacturing reliability.
The ITR26/70-50E (R6) cylindrical cell successfully passed the safety and technical assessment under the new national standard, demonstrating not only the strength of the product itself, but also EVPS’s accumulated expertise in battery technology and reliable manufacturing.
As the mobile power industry enters a critical stage of standardization and high-quality development, Anhui EVPS is committed to working alongside brands and manufacturers worldwide to advance product safety, promote healthy industry development, and deliver safer and more reliable power solutions to consumers.
Innovation as Our Sail, Quality as Our Oar
Guided by our values of Integrity, Responsibility, Innovation, and Dedication, EVPS will continue to strengthen technology development, accelerate its expansion into international markets, and define new application possibilities through differentiated battery technologies.
With safety and performance at the core, we are committed to shaping a greener energy future and contributing to the high-quality development of the global lithium-ion battery industry.
